A glimpse of a world that I would never be able to see, or even contemplate. So cold and distant. Yet you have captured this scene with your expert eye, and shared it with us. This is a beautiful picture, but very scary in the fact that it is an unknown environment.

I love this piece.
Love the beautiful sunset against the beautiful blue sky.
The dark blue of the water is a very lovely compliment to that paler blue sky.
The icebergs are breathtaking and you just have to wonder what you are missing in the great unknown of the waters below.
Very eye appealing and is framed well.
Thank you for sharing.

    thanks a lot barb;
what you are missing is about 9/10 of the icebergs: the two "small" on the right are about 1.8 meter tall: you have about 17 meters underwater! not so small!

This is such an awesome photo. I love the dark blue of the water and how the rocks are breaking off into the water. The reflection is nice as well. I also like the use of light and shadows in this photo. You did a fantastic job :) Thanks for sharing :)

Absolutely stunning Fred! The blue is so rich in color and contrasted with the yellow and cream/white of the ice is just amazing. What a world we live in! Excellent techs in every way:)

With the foreground so very fascinating, I think I would have risen the horizon line a bit. Great photo! Superb light! Wonderful focus and DOF.

Initial Impression:

A well done image that displays a wonderful play on light source.

Feelings Evoked:

The image evokes a feeling of wonderment or amazement. I continue to be dawn to that well lit / defined iceberg and its reflective properties.

Technical Attributes:

Focus is spot on and uses a nice deep DOF to retain crisp definition throughout.

Artistic Elements:

The POV uses the iceberg itself as a bold leading line with it's scattering debris further leading us into the image. The hues of blue in the sky and then darkening in the water offer a dynamic contrast for the iceberg aglow. Nice composition that creates interest and intrigue.

Summary: Fred - This is a great shot; display worthy. I really applaud your POV that allows the debris to reach out to us while that glowing iceberg calls to us. Nice Work. Kathy
