Wow! what a gorgeous butterfly you found. Can sure tell it's in the swallowtail family of butterflies and what a beauty it is. Looks like a fairly large one as well. One I've never seen and a great nature shot for sure. Like the dark background behind the tree limb or trunk. Excellent photo!

This is one very impressive butterfly and I am envious that you were able to find a location which supports these insects. Them uniform patterns are very pleasing and the detail of the head and body is very good. Nicely perched on a branch this results in a great image. Many thanks
