Now by golly Lori, I do think you did a right fine job of timing on this! How very cool. I'd love to see those with the bullhead. Don has eaten hundreds of them himself. This poor heron looks like its head and a sharp axe got to close to one another!

How neat and fun to experience a heron in action like this. I have some good shots of a heron catching a large fish too. Good action shot, focused and framed. It is nice that we can show some nature in action that so many never see or notice.
