For starters, I appreciate the detailed historical narrative you provide for this interesting image. Photographically, the brown columns against the blue sky are striking. Excellent contrast. Impressive depth of field with the city in the background and the green countryside clearly rendered.The shadows help impress the viewer with the roundness of the columns as well. Excellent image.
