What a fantastic colour of butterfly! It is so beautiful. The black background makes the centre of interest outstanding. And even the shadow helps creating dimension on this photo. Well done! Great close up.

Wow, what a beautiful butterfly and great photo of it. I think the tiny flowers makes this photo for me along with the beautiful red in the wings. Excellent photo Fred and got to give a six for this one. Just superb!

the red of the butterfly wings complemented by the flowers like how half frame is dark 7 other the green detailed leaf .
detail of butterfly is lovely movement the brown body the little feelers so clear with little cream tips .the lines in the wings & the pattern white show ,

I would thing it was in
the family of the monarch butterfly.
It is a beautiful specimen.
The flowers pale in comparison to the beauty of the wings of this butterfly.
Beautiful presentation.
I like it a lot. I like the way the left wing kind of hides itself in the black background.

A beautiful picture of this stunning butterfly alighted on flowers that contrast beautifully with the colours in it's wings. I think it might be? An American Lady Butterfly /Vanessa Virginensis though I can't be sure either way it's beautiful. Artistic composition, framing & lighting to show off to best advantage it's beautiful colours, superb camera techniques with razor sharp focus.
