very similar to any boardwalks in Florida or Asian countries; I like the bending trail leading the eye through the tall trees;

Like the angle of the board walk and the shadows from the tall trees add character. Good colour harmony and well placed in frame
Thanks Mary for sharing

Does look like a neat nature trail and I like the light and shadows created by the trees. Flying foxes are big bats aren't they? Nice shot of this area and the boardwalk leads the eye nicely through the trees making one want to walk on to see what lies ahead. Thanks for sharing it.

    Thanks David they are sometimes known as fruit bats. On Xmas day 2005 over 5000 died from heat stress as the temperature soared to the low 40C (104F) similar happened again last year in other areas they were just dropping out of the trees.

I bet it was fun seeing the foxes, wish you could have gotten a close up view to photo. Like the filtered sun, shadows, focused and framed as the eye is taken down the boardwalk.

    Thanks George the flying foxes were great tried to go back at different time of day hoping light and foxes would be better seen but ran out of time interesting though during heat wave few years ago they lost thousands as they dropped out of trees dying from 42c heat

A rainforest in southern australia? learn something new everyday, right? Anyway, the shadows are interesting in their darkness and extent of same that leaves dapples of light instead of a boring clear path, mapped out and curbed in wood... who wants to touch the earth, anyway? after all, itīs a nature reserve and nature means milled lumber, right? nice clarity.

    Hahaha we were visiting NSW east coast area, the boardwalk does less damage to the environment than people walking on a natural track but see your point about milled timber ☺

A very fine looking built up trail. Beautiful S curve leads the eye right along. I like the dappled light and the way the forest seems to come right up to the trail.
