That eye should scare off just about any predator as it looks so real. Nature has so many fabulous adaptions like this. Beautiful big butterfly and a great image of it. thanks for sharing it.

A beautiful picture of the Owl Butterfly with it's Gold coloured eye resembling an Owl's eye that draws my eye to it. The dark background is perfect to show off the butterfly in three dimensions. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.
