What a beautiful photograph, the light is superb the focus outstanding, you can see where the owl reference comes from besides working at night its colours are so like owl feathers.

We have two cats, Ozzy and Toto, both named for characters from the Wizard of Oz, and if either of them saw this owl butterfly flapping around the apartment, they would absolutely go bonkers! Know what I mean? as in, no rest until sampling it. So, glad it flies only at night. Of course, our cats are nocturnal hunters so beauty gets no breaks at our place :) Lovely capture! Were you in Mexico this summer? Where did you find it?
