When you say free living do you mean free range cattle? Or these are not owned by any one and just walking around in a field?

    Yes they are free ranch cattle they just come to the house near the street to drink some water when they want to and they go again - thank you dearly Jeff

It is a nice photo you have taken of this young bull and it is nice to also see some of the surroundings it is living in. I especially like the fence showing in the background.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details. The light is probably a lit harsh but you have avoided major blow outs.

The photo is nicely framed and the bull has got a good placement within the frame. Very nice and well taken photo, and with a good DOF.

Unusual shot. I love the sharp detail and the centering of the cow. I don't know how I feel about the lighting. My first thought was it was a mistake--why the shadow? I see some reviewers like it. I guess it's just a matter of taste. Cheers, James.

not what I really call free: there is a fence and they are feeded; but the capture is nice, a tad overexposed;

    Yes but it is just close to the street and they have many hectares to run free - they just come here when they get thirsty Loll - at the other side of the fence is the little house - thank you so very much - they come and go when they like it - no stress, no schedule

Of course, a beauty as always! I love the cows although not too intelligent, they are quite useful! I like that you pick up the fence on the left which is the same color as the cow! Great lighting contrast! jean

Love it when I see cattle living in the wide open country for a natural environment. I have seen so many dairy farms where the cattle are all bunched up in small pens, all with a very dirty environment and no room to move around. Good focus, frame and a healthy looking one here.
