Holy guacamole, a 3 way tie, who would have thought it, lol. Well congratulations on sharing first place with a very creative and well done image.

Thanks for joining in!

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Shirley. 3 way tie doesn't happen very often at all.

Truly clever and nostalgic.
Love the blast from the past along with the more modern machine.
Love the set up, background, use of filters making this special, unique and oh so cool.
Fine for entry!

Grandmothers are good like that. I remember seeing nearly an identical one something like sixty years ago but it was mostly used to make hamburger meat, i.e. ground beef, but I do remember potato pancakes... our family was part German. Lovely clarity to this work and the rayed effect to the left is strange but it seems to work in highlighting the object of focus. Nice dark wood tones are apparent. Nothing like quality to be as good as new 47 years later :)

You always amaze me with your art. I love the concept and memories behind this wonderful work. I too remember my grandmother's older kitchen tools and they can bring back great memories.

The layers, colors, contrast and images are used together so perfectly and really add depth to the piece.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful work.

I have an old mincer just like this one that my Mother-in-law passed to me. I like how you have the old equipment up front in the spotlight. Framed nicely.

She would be proud that her granddaughter has become such a superior maker of pictures. This would go nice in someones kitchen or a restaurant with the right theme. Cheers, James.

Excellent work, the old balanced again the new. I particularly like the composition and the positioning of the objects. What strikes me as well is there seems to be a permanence to the object in the foregrounds as opposed to the shiny sleek background object. May be it a function over form thing. :) Lovely notes. Thanks

Nice photograph love the old and new. For interest my son still uses a similar model mincer today when doing his rabbit burgers, he says it gives a coarser grind so more flavour.
