Very nice capture of this heron. Nice and sharp focus, I am sure Sange will approve :)

I like to see room left in front of the bird, the old rule, leaving them a place to move into. In this case you might have left just a bit too much as the bird sits back in the farthest quarter of the frame :)

Nice shot, I like it.

Your focus and depth of field is well managed as always and you have delivered real / natural colors, tones and hues.

What I really find attractive in this image is the ambience it invokes. Something about the contrast between light and dark with a hint of red hues - it's most attractive. Your presentation allows for the vine with red on the bottom to ground or weight the image in a very pleasing way (in a way it frames it). I like the way the moon is hitting the water directly behind the bird - almost producing a spotlight effect.

I'm confident Sange will be both humbled and appreciative of this dedication. Nice work. Kathy

A beautiful picture of a beautiful bird. I have taken several pictures of blue herons here in California but this heron has different markings. I like the framing in the right third of the shot. Good job.

this is a grey heron: in the US you have blue herons

that has a good glow on it. do you do anything special to get a nice glow?

I was trying to photo a tree with the sun hitting it and to my eye it was glowing. but it didn't glow in the photo.
