This is a gorgeous composition. The orchids almost look 3 d as they look out of the photo. The detail is very good and the color is vibrant. The background helps to bring out the color of the orchids. Well planned and orchestrated.

This photo really caught my eye. Good composition...I like the two angles of this lovely orchid. The image is clear with a nice contrasting background. Beautiful colors just a little overexposure on the front flower. Nice job!

This is a very pretty orchid and very nicely composed. I love your focus on the orchid and the bokeh behind. However, you have blown out the from orchid. This is typically caused when shooting in bright daylight. I am sure you realize early morning and late afternoon are the best light for shooting most anything, but outside flowers in particular. There are a few things you could do when shooting. An ND filter always helps, cuts the blowouts. The other is to shade the flowers with your body, or better yet a diffuser, held over the flower to block the direct light. I personally would take a love shot like this that is nice and well focused and apply one of those great painterly filters and turn it into a more painting style :)

thanks, dear. This was actually taken inside the greenhouse. I wonder if I over did the exposure. By the way, Congratulations on the Perfect Rose contest. You know what I didn't know that Member Created Contest does not have any cash value. Any thoughts about that?

What do you mean about Cash Value? You mean real money?
It is pretty clear that the member bucks are just the exchange rate here on FAR, I guess like bitcoins on video games. That is why I just do more contests when I win. I don't promote much anymore, only once in a while when it is for the real FAR prizes mostly and I am not sure that even has any influence of whatever committee picks those winners. Once in a while when I have something I want to share about a technique
