This is lovely... and sad at the same time. I can imagine that many lives were lived in this lovely, old home. The mossy roof was what initially attracted me to this well-composed photograph!

I think this is an amazing piece on so many levels. First of all love the green moss growing on the roof. Also the lighting is fantastic and I love how the sun is shining on the very bottom left corner showing a lighter green patch of grass. The photograph is really eye catching and the initial impact for me is fantastic! What a shame that there are so many of these abandoned houses in Normandy!
They look like they were wonderful dwellings in there day.
Love the way that it is framed as well.
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing piece.

I love the depth and the sunlight resting on the grass. It is somewhat boring and it would be nice to experiment with cropping for different effects. But overall nice subject and good repetition.

An intriguing image with the bottom half of the house in seemingly fair shape and and the top taken over by
the local foliage. Nice composition and very attractive colors.

Fred,
A great picture of this traditional Normandy Style house with a tail to tell if bricks could talk &
Which if money were no object might be repaired at vast expense but otherwise is doomed to be demolished.Beautiful composition framing & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

Such an amazing capture. It is a moving story and must have been a sad place to stand and take a photograph. The time of day lent a nice shadow. Your focus and framing are all good. The green overgrowth tells the story for me, along with the broken windows.
