WOW! this is such a unique house. I like how you've shown it current condition, as well as the architectural elements. I wonder if the plants at the roof, was originally there, like a roof garden, or just grew there in the passage of time. Excellent angle, focus, lighting and strong technical skills. Well captured.

Indeed, too late for restorative effort.
The foundation seems so weak already.
An interesting initial impact.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Harmonious colors.
Excellent lighting, focusing & framing.
Thanks for sharing.

WOW again, this should be a matter of state as a historic patrimony of life style and architecture - a beautiful home and so sad to see it falling apart , excellent composition, from a perfect angle and position showing the nature around as well as HOW nature is taking over what men are building once let alone - are people still living there? And why hundreds of houses? That is shocking to know - your shot tells a story, technically perfect picture, thanks for sharing

My first impression was, oh no, it is full of glare... as in Why shoot into the sun? But then I look more closely at it and it is not glare but contained light. For instance in the upper left hand corner there are exquisitely defined tree trunks, though skinny, and in the upper right the leaves are detailed and not washed out, in spite of the sunshine. I am guessing you spent a lot of time on this one to get it as right as it is. And I also guess that excessive love of greenery is the reason for so many destroyed roofs in Normandy, right? :)

Living as I do in a town where 1/3 the houses are in this condition (New Orleans) this is especially poignant to me. Obviously once a beautiful building--a new roof perhaps? Very nice shot. Cheers, James.

They may be in to bad a condition to be restored in practice. The mind can do great things and I am sure you have renovated this beautiful cottage already, I know I have.

This is a shame as this house has so much character.I don't think it is too late to restore this house. I have seen them in worse shape restored. The roof is of great interest with the green grass or moss growing upon it. The sky is a bit drab but other than that it is a wonderful capture.

Beautiful house, holding so many memories. Doors, that people entered, and left by. Windows, polished with care, so eyes could peer in and out of them. Normandy, quite a history there.
