Here is the "rest of the story"

In 1968, a scientist at 3M in the United States, Dr. Spencer Silver, was attempting to develop a super-strong adhesive. Instead he accidentally created a "low-tack", reusable, pressure-sensitive adhesive. For five years, Silver promoted his "solution without a problem" within 3M both informally and through seminars but failed to gain acceptance. In 1974 a colleague who had attended one of his seminars, Art Fry, came up with the idea of using the adhesive to anchor his bookmark in his hymnbook. Fry then utilized 3M's officially sanctioned "permitted bootlegging" policy to develop the idea. The original notes' yellow color was chosen by accident, as the lab next-door to the Post-it team had only yellow scrap paper to use.

Awesome contrast between colors! Great decision on the color scheme and lovely choice keeping the corners in the frame. It does a lot to give the shapes definition and clean edges.

Great presentation. Very colorful. I like how you have them stacked and that they are of varying thicknesses. It's a good variety and nice shot. Well done ... Best wishes in the contest! :)

This is different for a change. The colours work well together. The light is giving some shadow as well as highlights. The focus is good giving nice detail. The framing is well balanced.

Interesting image! I had heard another story of their invention and I´m thinking you may have the correct version. What I heard was that a factory worker at 3M came up with the idea and took it to management, who fortunately had the insight to see its utility. Believing a doctor invented it is a more reassuring, as it shows the intelligence needed to figure out that paper and glue combined make a good combo :)
