Linda, you did a wonderful job on Paul and you say this is just a quick sketch? I just love it and it is a wonderful likeness of him. I think anyone would looks at it will know exactly who it is at first glance.
I love the shading it is so soft. I can't do mine this well. Do you use a stump or what?
Thank you so much for sharing once again such a wonderful piece, and Happy Thanksgiving to you!!

So this is your idea of a "Quick Sketch" ? I've seen lesser works in galleries. A beautiful rendition of Sir Paul. Has a bit of a more relaxed feel to it which suits the subject perfectly. Another stunning work among incredible work. Thanks

excellent portrait, but the way you have shot it, with the frame taken most of the space takes from the initial impact

thanks for sharing

Galia, such is art. A moment in time here, a sketch there. It is all art. I wish that I had introduced it in a perfect frame. I did not. This is it. With all of it's imperfections. It is what it is.

Nicely done, Linda. Really brings back those memories of the young Paul in 1964 that I remember so very well. The innocence prior to all the fame is so very evident here with how you have posed him and chosen that par away look.

Thank you so much Shore. My friend loves Paul, so I drew this just for fun to give her.

You are very talented, if this is a quick sketch. I wish I could draw, but I am afraid my talent lies elsewhere. Great picture, of a great man.

My first impression a very good likeness of Paul.
The drawing show that youth and boyish face that we all knew and loved when the Beatles first game out with their first song.

The placement on the bounded area on page makes for a strong composition..

I do think that the dark areas needs to shows some hint of his hair, and few darker suggestive lines there would add depth and manure realism to the dark areas above his eye brows.

The high lights in the eyes are well placed and to me h helps give him that realism.
I am also thinking that the chin looks to smudged.

To me in a final rendering all of the above suggestions need to be corrected, form it to become a more successful piece. As a sketch t is a 5 as a final drawing a 4 to 4.5, know what I mean?

Very nice work. Good portrait of Paul. Grew up with the beatles so they are still some of my favorites. I remember when they were first seen on the Ed Sullivan show. Now, a long time ago. Thanks for sharing.
