you are wonderfully inspired and have a style of your own which makes your work stand out as our work and a way of painting ideas which make them recognisable instantly- and enjoyable viewing, like the two birds in the distance- great

Nice rich colkor and full composition. It seems a little bright overall but that's a matter of taste, it is art after all.

What a wonderfully inventive idea. Hey! Flowers already have thorns. So why not spears and katanas as well? And it's so perfectly executed. Tell me, were you inspired by the works of Jim Woodring? There's something about this that reminds me of the old Frank arts he used to do.

I'll have a look. In the meantime, Crazy Daisy Ed was a cartoon on MTV's old Liquid Television series. He was an obnoxious daisy with a voice like a truck driver whose been o n the road too long who loved to sing loudly in the middle of the night and blackmail his owner's landlord.

oh god ..liquid tv..been some years..used to love watching it back in the day when they played video and liquid tv was like its cartoon for the night..very cool comparison but not i didnt copy it..dont really remember the flower ones but do remember others...wink
reply by ElegantButler on 29-Nov-2014
yeah I remember the other ones. Like Aeon Flux, Beavis and Butt-head, and Soap Opera (the ones with the bars of soap) and there was one other thing they did where they used various post cards to tell a story. Those were fun.

well Aeon flux and i go further back than liquid tv..see Aeon flux character was introduce in the late 70's in the adult illustrated fantasy called "heavy metal"..i go further back following the french artist who created Aeon along with other artist like richard corbin and frank frazetta ..,beevis and butthead was used as fillin between videos which helped advertise the liquid tv special..yeah i was up on that then..wink

I remember Heavy Metal back in 70s but don't remember Aeon. Are you sure you're not thinking of Serpieri's Druuna? She was pretty hot.

I thought "banzai" went out with WWII. I'm having a little trouble with the faces on this one. Maybe I'm missing something, but they don't seem to convey the idea of the picture. Cheers, JR

Well done! I like that you used different flowers this time. It's funny how the colors make them look pretty, but the weapons make them look violent ll. You did a great job :) Thanks for sharing :)
