Mary,
A beautiful picture of the Honey Here collecting nectar from the. White flower, the details of it's eyes, tongue wings & the fine bristles on it's thorax. Beautiful composition framing & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

an excellent framing but I am always surprised when most people indicate that the focus is fine; unfortunately, the bumble bee is clearly out of focus and a tad too dark;

OMG! I would want a six stars here, but not I have already! Great macro shot of the bee. Amazing details, color, and sharp focus. Nice illumination, clarity, and texture. Great camera skills. Well done.

To me this is just a touch out of focus but that could be FAR. The framing is nice and tight with the bee centre attraction. The flower is bright with some detail in it. Although you can see detail in the bee and is not clear and crisp it is a nice attempt of a close up.

What a nice macro shot of a feeding bee. The composition is good. The bees dark legs contrast nicely with the light flower.

Now, the focus.

Macro is difficult as the depth of field is very limited. So the rule is to get the eye spot on. That of course is easier said than done.

If you have it on your camera, I use a zoom in focus button where I can see the image on my live screen It can zoom 5x or 10x. At 10x you can really fine tune the focus point. It helps to make macros sharper and worth the effort. Of course, this assumes you have the camera on a tripod.

Good luck

A very good view on this working honey bee. Like the dark background, good focus and frame to show the happy bee details. Good to see the bees working around the world.
