Yes it is a cosmos and a gorgeous colored one with lovely detail on the petals and stamens.

This is a beautiful flower. I like how delicate the stem looks. The flower, with it's two toned colors is beautiful as well. Great technique. I like the blurred background. The lighting loos very good. It also looks a bit 3D.

I am sorry but cannot help in naming this flower but the off centre framing leaving the leaves in works very well. The colours are nice and clear as well is the focus and detail. The plain green background just finishes it off.
