Old mills and old barns are two of my favorite subjects. I like how you have used the rule of three and how you have balanced the photo with the mill on the left and the tree and building on the right. I like the dam with the water spilling over as etra interest. There is also great DOF. Yes I am sure that mill would have some wonderful stories to tell if it could talk.

Very nice! I think this is a fine photograph... from the grasses in the foreground to the red building and then the fluffy clouds. This is well-focused, good DOF, and well composed. Good work.

Good wide depth of field. The mill, the flowing water, the bridge and the green foliage really made an excellent composition. I like those grass, too as your focal point. Dramatic lighting. I only find the sky too wide, but overall, this is well captured with sharp technical skills, great focus, angle and lighting.

I really like this photo. The red of the building just pops as does the wonderful cloud formation. I love the by gone era feel this has to it. Makes me think of the New England area. What state was this taken in? I like how you framed it with the water and wheat in the foreground. Perfect, take my six.

This looks like a postcard you would see at a place you could visit; or maybe a picture as a part of a brochure. It's really well done.

Thank you. I once got a critique of one of my images that criticized it because it looked like a postcard image. Go figure
    Thanks again.

Another very fine capture Allan. I have been following your work and taking notes to improve mine. Your technique is excellent. All elements are included and your composition is superior.

Thanks Sam. Because I have been a scientist my whole career, I think I look a lot at the technical fundamentals of photography more than some. But, that may come at the expense of mood and feeling sometimes. But, it is a blend of both in the long run.

    Thanks

A curious image with an outdated mill which looks almost contemporary with its fresh paint and well kept grounds. The colors are great and the composition is excellent.

They do a nice job of keeping the mill from disrepair. In the 60's it was almost torn down from disrepair. Fortunately a group of farsighted people saved it form certain demise.

    Thanks.

A wonderful low angle on this historic mill. It is so nice to see that it is being well taken care of. Very good focus, frame and exposure with a nice sky. Good work.
