initial impact is wow! the greyish background works well in setting off your subject. her proportions are good and you can just feel her defeat. nice work, as usual.

I don't know if your work is stimulated by an actual event you have witnessed or an imagined scene that forms within your consciousness, but you have a remarkable ability to translate emotion and nuance to art. Another wonderful work my friend. Is she sad? Is she exausted following a performance? Or is she contemplating the dance about to happen? One thing for sure, this ballerinas IS in repose. Her body language speaks volumes. Wonderful piece of work :)

The pose is great. It is as you could find her behind the stage, exhausted and hurt. Not hurt by an accident, just from the hard work. The hurt and exhaustion which comes with every performance before the pride of another accomplishment sinks in. I think the painting is perfect, except the area at her shoulder, right above her hairdo. There seems something wrong with the anatomy. The shoulder looks as if separated from the spine. Could you over paint and repair it?

This is very nice! The ballerina is beautifully done! The young woman looks rather downcast as if perhaps things didn't go well! The colors are great! The blending and shading are beautiful! Well done and thanks for sharing! Lilibug6

Such a nice natural pose. I love the body language. She looks exhausted after a long rehearsal. Good interplay of light and shadows. Tells a story and has great initial impact. Very well done. ~Alveria

She looks tired with sore leg muscles.
Great story telling ability.
An interesting initial impact. Harmonious colors. Nice perspective & narrow DOF. Excellent lighting, focusing & framing. Thanks for sharing.
