Thanks James as for the white yes his mate Greater was also white so not sure if it is the breed or age this one is nearly 70 years old ☺

Thanks Lili Greater was the oldest living flamingo in captivity and this one is about 70 ☺ Greater was at Adelaide Zoo from 1933 bit before my time

Thanks Beny for some reason I had the ISO set at 3200 think I had been trying to get the gibbons jumping around and set it higher forgot to change it :) Mary

What an interesting story with a very well composed image. The bird is beautiful and beautifully photographed. Detail is just right and lighting sets off his lovely soft color.
