Thanks so much, they are pretty spoilt and have a very nice airconditioned glass area but think the keepers encouraged him outside to clean that section :) Mary

A very nice shot with excellent detail in his fur and even eyes. The composition is very nice but for the intervening tree. Good conversion with a complete range of tones.

Like the b/w option, very good frame, eye to eye level, focused and presented to show this big guy. I hope you have a baby panda in 2015.

Excellent capture of the beautiful panda - I hope they do have success in breeding. They're such beautiful creatures. The change to black and white adds impact to this image. I like the pose you caught.

Lighting and focus very good showing great detail. Very nice composition. Suzanne

This is a beautiful shot of the panda. You have timed it well. The light and shadow and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

What a lovely photo you have taken of this giant Panda, and I especially like the eye contact you seem to have with the animal. The tree in the foreground is of course unfortunate, but since it is not covering any major parts of the face it is not really a distraction. I also like the change to BW.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in the Panda, and the exposure is really good. I think you have handled the white and black fur well. The blacks are well defined and it is not a trace of over exposure in the whites either. Very good distinctions between dark and light areas in this shot.

Since the tree is placed as it is, I would personally consider cropping a bit on the right side, but I think the composition also works well as it is, and the Panda has got a good placement within the frame. This is indeed a well taken photo and with a very good DOF.
