I, personally really like this. That beetle is beautiful in all its shiny hues sitting on its pedestol of nature's lavishings. The textures, patterns of varigation and hues of that plant are very striking. I like how you blended out the background. This had just the right lighting.

This is a clear, well focused shot with lots of detail and good colouring. The natural lighting enhances the colours of the beetle and those that are mirrored in the foliage.

However it is missing a truly captivating subject...there is nothing to draw the audience into the piece.

As photographs of bugs go, this works quite nicely.
