Pink roses are my favorite. I love the way you back lit this and kept it in perfect focus. I also like the fact you didn't drown it with a spray bottle. That's beginning to become a pet peeve of mine. I like the slight mirror effect too.

Impressive capture!
Dramatic presentation but I think the low lighting technique changed the pink color a bit...
A great initial impact. Nice interesting subject. Excellent POV & DOF...Harmonious colors. Impressive lighting, focusing & framing.

Very good entry for the contest. I like the lighting effects with the back light shining through the petals and the rose casting its reflection on the polished surface.
Excellent focus showing all the intricate twists and curls of the petals. Very nice composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Very fine lighting on this well arranged study of the rose. It positively glows from within and yet the leaves are not burnt out in the least. Great fill brings out the pink tones and details in the petals.

What a fantastic lighting! did you used a small spotlight or something similar behind? I guess the light source has to be smaller than the rose. The reflection is intriguing. The added zoom effect works well because it suggest dept. I love the colors. Best luck for the contest!
