Great composition. Nice lines and designs. Focus is sharp. Subject is obvious. Is that a tree growing on top of it?

I have never been at Angkor Wat but seen enough photos, and video to be thoroughly impressed by the architecture and the awesome forces of nature. You have capture both well in this photograph. Thanks for sharing Fred.

Those tree roots are amazing, the size and how they grow over and around the stone structures. Reminds me of flowing water down the side of a rocky cliff. A photo for Nat Geo Fred, so interesting and captured so well. Good shooting and glad you got to see it again!

Wow, I can see why you would want to revisit this location. What a great angle, focus and frame to show natures power and such a great example of the trees taking over.

Fred,
A beautiful picture showing how the roots of the tree are slowly bit by bit are "consuming the Temple in the manner of a "Python" by slow strangulation & slow digestion. Beautiful composition, framing & natural lighting with razor sharp focus & superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

    Fred,
Merci, I thought the Root going across the picture then down looked like a Python.
