Excellent natural light image capture of your very old Buddhist Monastery. Everything sharp and full of detail. Walk way gives natural perspective in turn gives depth along with fabolous root in tanglements. Would just love to walk around in side and maybe find a golden treasure. Thank for sharing,

Woah! I don't know which one of these takes I like the best. Great job on telling a different story with this one. The entryway is the focus and sets my imagination free with what it was for in those many centuries ago. Excellent! Thank you for sharing!

On second thought, I think these roots are the ones holding the structure intact in a symbiotic relationship with these antiquated structure.
A rare find!
An interesting initial impact. Harmonious colors. Nice perspective & narrow DOF. Excellent lighting, focusing & framing. Thanks for sharing...

Amazing how nature reclaims man built areas. Similar to the Mayan temples I've seen in Guatemala that were completly covered with vegetation and basically look like wooded hills sticking out of the jungle. Great shot showing these tree roots growing over this temple. Reminds me of the one you posted of the Buddha head sticking out of the tree roots. Great shot and so interesting to view.

A really neat shot, sure looks like nature is trying to reclaim the area. A good angle, focus and frame Fred to show the roots and limbs as the trees are taking over the temple.

Hello,
My review/critique of your work will be broken down into two parts; the technical and the esthetics aspects of the work. Each aspect will carry the same amount of weight in rating the piece presented. A piece will not be awarded a 5 rating if it has a flaw in either category or in the case of a contest entry fails to meet the contest requirements.
Technical: I think you have selected really angle, which give the image a good perspective and depth. The bad thing to me is the lighting coming in from the y upper right it washes out the image too much and that takes away overall impact that the presentation would have had.
Esthetics: the colors along the bottom a rich and inviting and that makes it appealing. The fact that the upper half is the exact opposite is major detractor to the effectiveness of the image in showing size and depth and perspective. It really washes out all the good colors and the flow that the bottom processes.
Thank U for having allowed me to look & review your work.
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
