A wonderful picture of the sunlit Bluebell Woods the path leading us into the heart of the picture, with the sweet scent of bluebells surrounding us & the song of the Blackbird head in the trees above us. Wonderful three dimensional composition, very skilful brushwork, choice, blending & application of your living colours.

This lovely impressionistic painting, along with your notes certainly conjures up a beautiful image of little girls on an adventure into the woods to pick bluebells.
What a wonderful place to live near as a child!
I used to love picking flowers too but I was limited to other peoples gardens in the street where I lived ,to my mother's embarrassment. Lol!
Really lovely painting with excellent perspective, depth and color variations. Love the storyline.

This is definitely after the impressionistic style, but as I love the impressionistic style I was captivated with this one at first viewing. The tranquility of the work is what stands out most, that and the subtle mixtures of blues and greens. Personally, I would have added more light to the tree in the foreground, but that may just be a matter of personal taste. Otherwise, it is well conceived and executed and a captivating work of the imagination. Excellent.

I just posted a photograph of a path that took at one of the local botanical gardens. Your painting almost resembles it, just at a different view. I am not an artist so I can't critique your ability, but I like what you have done. It has a soft serene sense to the scene. Thanks for sharing.
