Actually, I think you got too much flash effect on the top of his head, but it does give it an explosive quality which is what is what Sam Elliot is all about... or so it seems to me. Very dramatic and strong image. I am a big fan of his and I think you caught his spirit.

I think you were able to take everything from the photo and add to it in this wonderful work of art. Sam Elliott is a favorite actor of mine and a man's man. The way you have captured very detail and shadows and highlights is amazing. The eyes are just perfect. Great work. This is something worth stopping and commenting on and would very much be proud to have in my own home.

I like the gaze of Sam. He is very riveted on something.

The contrast from the light hair above to the very dark in the lower left hair is great.
