Very nice ! Great lighting, I like how the light just give you enough to see the tips of the green in the FG and BG. Nice POF and DOF. Composition and framing well done. Good work thanks for sharing :)

A lovely bright red flower in nice light with the leaves just showing works quite well the black background just finishes it off. I an not convinced that the flowers are totally in focus which just takes the edge off them as the leaves seem to have more clear detail at the bottom of the frame.

Very very pretty. Love the color it is so eye appealing and so really beautiful. It made for a really nice shot against the dark background and and green of it's leaves surrounding it. very detailed.

It is an impressive plant, but perhaps more strong pink than red. The dark background makes the plant stand out in a really good way, but there are a few bright spots on the right side I would have cloned out.

I also think the photo needs to be even sharper. It seems like your focus was sitting on the blooms on the very left side, while the rest is a bit blurred. The colors are however fantastic, and also the exposure is fine.

Personally I would have cropped just a tad on the right side but all together the photo is well framed. It is a striking and lovely photo, but in need of some adjustments. Still I wish you luck with the contest.

This has an abstract feel to it. The focus is soft and dreamy and the dark backgroud is excellent for the bright red.

Nice touches of color and nicely framed.

Introduction: First and foremost, my aim in delivering an Image Canvas Review is never to cause offence.

Following on from reading Type Talk at Work: How the sixteen personality types determine your success on the Job, I outline my personality factors below:

Extroversion Factor of Seven.
Introversion Factor of Eight
Sensory Factor of Five
Intuition Factor of Four
Thinking Factor of Six
Emotion Factor of Five
Judgement Factor of Two
Perception Factor of Six

All the above factors indicate that my character is mainly driven by Introversion, Sensory Stimuli, Thinking and Perception.

Type Talk at Work: How the sixteen personality types determine your success on the Job was authored by Otto Kroeger, Janet M. Thuesen and Hile Rutledge.

As a backdrop to my review observations, I am happy to divulge that my interest in Photography mainly focuses on the interplay of light on a subject or object and the surroundings encompassed within the four corners of a camera's viewfinder. Fuji Velvia Slide film and a Lightbox are still highly thought of, which probably explains why I am a follower of Photography by Michael Busselle, Joe Cornish, Lee Frost, Tom Mackie, David Noton, Charlie Waite and John Webster. My self-absorbed thinking is not always concerned with Landscape and Travel. Occasionally, I enjoy shooting the odd Still Life using soft diffused window light.

When it comes to Wildlife Photography, I am aware of the work of Andy Rouse and just how far he pushes the boat out with Lady Luck at his side.

Art is undoubtedly the cornerstone of all Photographic paths, tracing it's true roots back to cave drawings and etchings.

Digital Art has surely passed everyone's expectations, and has led me to occasionally explore the challenges and creativity offered by a Fuji Finepix S2800HD Digital Camera.

I do not hold a teaching qualification, but I am BTEC National Diploma accredited and a NAWE Professional follower / member.

An Image Canvas conveys it's character by making astute use of the following disciplines:

The Arrangement of Parts
Right Time, Right Place
Movement and Exposure
Manipulating the Image
The Play of Light
Colour in its Place
The Big View
The Final Shape

Observations: The Landscape Composition lends a real tranquil air to your Image Canvas.

Captioning is simple and has been well thought through.

Creativity of presentation: First Rate
Color Harmony: Outstanding
Centre of Interest: Well seen
Technical Excellence: Respect
Technique: Imaginative
Story Telling Ability: Strong

Conclusion: A worthy addition to your Portfolio.

Thank You for sharing and enhancing my journey as an Art Reviewer.

Red Ginger
Subject easily determined
Colors harmonize. Some of the red looks a little soft. Red is a hard color to work with
Black background compatible and makes flowers pop
The white at bottom right is a bit distracting

Well it's certainly red. I like the arrangement in this and the touches of green really set it off. The trouble with red (e.g this and things like poppies) is that the camera often overexposes them. You think you've got the perfect exposure and then you look at the red channel and its slightly over exposed which means that you tend to lose all that lovely subtle detail unless you can get it back in post. I'm guessing that this may be the case here, the red lacks detail whereas the green look pretty much perfect.
Nicely seen and taken, lovely rich feel to it with that black background.
