Nice strong initial impact both with image and background color. The line, shadow and light will be interesting to see as the composite ages. Do you have any that have turned in hue? Very creative - Thanks for sharing.

Does the patina develop over time? Oh - sorry just read the comment. Oh, no way - I would have to work in an erasable medium. LOL

This is drawn with copper wire? This is neat. I love the sepia/brown tone. The model view is, again, different, but I like this one also. REally nice. and Interesting.

Wow, This is some drawing. The drawing is perfect. But the medium that you created this on is fantastic. I never heard anything like it.

I have never heard of this process, but I like what I see. When it takes on the patina you mention, it would become almost a whole different piece, I would think. Love the effect and the light it has over all and your figure seems to be basking in it.

Are these all drawings you have made in the past? The only reason I ask is that I have mentioned the lines before and they are still there. There should be very little linework on the highlighted side. This would make for a more exciting piece.

thank you so very very much it takes a special ground like gesso to draw with metal wire this one is done with copper i am going to post the next one done with pure silver and nickel and as they tarnish the color comes out with the copper it will be green with the silver red nickel the same as silver this is a technique that has not been used much since the renniassance that is why leonardos drawings are red hope that answers your question

Excellent proportions and wonderful illustration in this difficult technique. IT would be interesting to put the original and the piece as it presents a green patina hue later side by side. As always, excellent lighting and tonal range superbly done! jean

I think the new site is a big problem for some like me--almost going to give up! I find that the uploads really compress and distort images with fine detail-when going from 3,000 plus pixels to 750 pixels, it happens. There are certain people who will inevitably make some ridiculous or inappropriate comment no matter what! Not sure what is happening with reviews but the new site is difficult to get around and review! jean
