Very nice! I just finished posting my entry for this contest as well.

I like the way you have used the little tea candle, as we call them, to give him a golden glow as it appears he is staring down into it in a mesmerized fashion. From personal preference, I think your background and lights detract a bit from the image. Although giving it an artsy presentation, I find my eyes are drawn to the spots and the patter as much as the figurine :)

The layout is nicely composed, sharp focus and nice DOF.

Very clever photo. The use of the candle to illuminate the figurine makes him look real, except of course his lack of facial features, and the fact that he looks like he's sprouting fairy wings, LOL. The shine on the heart and the way he's grasping it tell a story all it's own. Composition great. Great use of artificial light.
