This is a beautiful landscape painting. The composition of the serene scene is good. The distant blue sky,, the blue river, the rocks in the foreground make it a well composed work. Well done.!

Beautiful composition, recognizable in style and technique - super details, I love the old stone walls you have painted so well in details with much dedication and patience . The bridge with her reflection is well placed in your frame - the pastel color range creates a calm ambiance and a softness that brings relaxation and peace just by looking at it - beautiful job, all the best for the contest

A beautiful picture of Warfdale in God's Own county with the river flowing peacefully under the old stone Hump backed Bridge the blue sky, fluffy white clouds & the bridge's underside all reflected on the sill surface of the river. The rocky out crops & the verdant vegetation on the banks add to that feeling of peace. Beautiful Constable like composition, with superb & very skilful brushwork, artistic choice blending & application of you paints to create a river scene that is full of life.
Good luck in the Contest.
Susan

Comment from Life is but a dream.

The compositional style of this is very dynamic.

I love the lines that catch our eyes, not only the bridge but the foreground placement of the bank going down into the water. Focal stops are many from the stones in the foreground to reflections to bridge and all the way into this art...deeper and deeper. The depth is felt due to your considered usage of tonal values...dark to light.

Personally, I find the rock in the lower left a bit too strong as it calls a lot of attention to itself and the bridge almost becomes secondary....or as we say, the backup singer.

I think your strokes are confidently placed on the canvas and I like the build up of oils you have which is not too thick at all and quite pleasing.

This is a scene I would not mind stumbling upon in real life, sitting down and enjoying not only the view but the clean air.
