Great composition in this oil painting Artwork. The hair really is the focal point although the black clothing punctuates the whole composition as well. I like your tonal quality, your details are captured amazingly. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent work on model in difficult lighting I was working on a similar lighting and finally just trashed it! LOL! Lovely flesh tones, upload cannot do this type of work justice. I like the black scarf-very dramatic and the choice of what appears to be Payne's Grey hued background! jean

This is an interesting painting but it seems to me to be shadowed in reverse. The light source seems to be coming from the upper left corner of the picture, but the shadows on her arm, back and hip are also on the left. Perhaps the artist had something in mind when they did this, but I think that by reversing the light and shadows on the arm, back and hip would make this a very good picture.

Feels very free flowing and good light shadow play on this James. I like the light source from behind and the way her eyes are looking right at us. Nice tight crop, great tonal range and perspective well done.
