The subject is lovely, drawing finely done. I love the brushstrokes in the detail of the gorilla's. If I had a suggestion, it is to cover the canvas fully. I don't know whether it is a flaw in uploading or painting but streaks of white canvas are distracting and detract from the beauty you have created.

Thank you for your review. The canvas was double primed and I also painted a coloured undercoat so there were no white bits of canvas.

This is adorable and what a nice one for the contest:) I really like your composition on this piece with the Momma Gorilla sitting with her back to the frame, allowing space in front of her with the baby cradled at her knees. Love soft pastelin the sky and the grasses make for a ice finish :)
