This is VERY cool. (I've seen a lot of owls in the past years -- my daughter is a Senior at Rice University.) So, I know a good owl when I see one!

The eyes are the element that draws the viewer in on this work --- it's almost difficult to look away! All of the pencil work you did seems to "point" the viewer back to those eyes... the lines, curves and etc were drawn with that purpose, I would surmise.

I do see a figure in those pupils. Oh wait! ...it's me! YIKESSSS!
