WOW... (except for the 18 wheelers and cars!) it does look like the Old West! I really like the composition of this photograph. That "S" curve of the road really takes the viewer's eye on a journey --- it the ultimate leading line! I do think the photo could have benefitted from a polarizing filter, as I don't think one was used --- and the light is quite harsh.

The spot that you were standing during the capture of this shot is definitely a spot on. Must be a long walk to reach the top, but it paid off coz you have captured the whole
scene beautifully. You framed it exactly with great composition. Good luck for the contest.
