This is very lovely, Lili. Sunsets are always a little bit different. But it is difficult to capture a distinctive one and continue to make it creative. You have done a nice job here. Your color saturation accentuates the imagery and the mood from your perspective as the photographer. Nice job with your composition. You have succeeded in using the rule of thirds for your landscape and have kept the balance and order to please your viewers. And even though that is not a must, I personally find that is an aesthetic must in a landscape. The initial impact is of course your light transcendence through the clouds, across the water and through the reeds. You have created an inspiring work. Good luck in the contest. sincerely, NR

This is very lovely, Lili. Sunsets are always a little bit different. But it is difficult to capture a distinctive one and continue to make it creative. You have done a nice job here. Hmmm... Honestly this is the very first review I wrote. I am very new at this! I basically copied how others gave you stars-- sorry, this is such a lame reason! (I wonder what it would have looked like had you either captured more of the cattails-- from above more-- or maybe got down to the lake level. ) Maybe it would make it a bit more dynamic.

Beautiful scene. The way you shot this, not only shows the beauty of the sunset, but shows great depth. I like seeing the cattails in the foreground and the reflection off the lake. Just a peaceful place to be. :)

Gorgeous scene! Love the color of the sunset and the ripples on the water. One thing that could be improved would be the soft focus on the cattails and the placement of them. If you could have gotten above them a bit more so they were more silhouetted against the water. I think that would have been stunning. It's still a beauty though, as is!

I'm a real sucker for a beautiful sunset and you have done a excellent job with this one. I particularily like the reflection on the rippled water broken by the reeds. Great composition -well done. I have dozens of pictures of sunrises,sunsets and wonderful cloud formations mostly reflecting over the water in front of our home, however I do not have sofisticated equipment and use a simple pocket digital camera. I always mention this on the few photos I have posted and received many nice comments from folk including yourself,however a couple of members have advised me to do this,that and the other to improve what to me and some others is a perfectly good pictures. Each to their own and I appreciate their imput but it does put me off posting photos - bit silly but that's just me. I'll stick to art ! Maybe the odd photo thrown in, Kind regards Ronnie
