This is an interesting piece and probably had lots of meaning to someone many years ago. I did for a short time some paining with oils on glass as what was called reverse glass painting. After the paint dried, and it took days to dry, I then would mount the painting with crumpled foil and the result was very beautiful. I wish I had a photo of the work. I did this in a painting class I attended at the community adult education classes.

Your technique of oil on glass seems very interesting. Did you use anything to preserve your creation, like varnish or similar?

I do not remember what I did as it was over 30 years ago, but seems like I did mix the oils with a varnish.
