What a beauty!! I really like the color of his head -- especially against the soft green background. I think you really had to zoom in on this beautiful guy... and that may have compromised the photo focus. Also, I find the photograph to be a bit noisy.

I zoomed at 300mm, but.....I couldn't get any closer. I had to back up to stay in focus. Thanks.

Is this not a beauty. Love the pink with the peach lightly flowing into it. Beautiful colors. Nice framing and focus. Such a wonder in the marvels of birds in their colors.

Lovely shot. This photo has got good composition, The back drop of the sky line and the bushes blurred by the depth of field is good making the bird stand out. The bird itself the focal point is sharp and in focus. It has lovely texture and colour and makes a good shot.Well Done.

This is indeed a colorful little Hummingbird with the deep pink feathers, and it is standing out from the nicely softened background in the most excellent way. I do however think your photo has a bit of noise even if it is hardly seen.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in the feathers, and you have also captured the bright and shiny eye really well. The exposure is perfect and the colors crisp and clear.
The format you have cropped this down to is working well, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the right, giving the composition a nice balance. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken shot, and with a very good DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

The colors are unbelievable! I'm very impressed with the tight focus and the wonderfully faded background really makes the hummer jump off the background. Combine all of that with a perfectly captured eye and you end up with a winner.. Good luck in the contest!
