This is such a pretty photo of this cute Hummingbird perched on a lovely pink flower. Excellent clarity, lighting, and color. I love how the pink color of the flower is reflected on the feathers on the chest of the Hummingbird. It looks like the bird has light pink feather markings. Excellent DOF. My only suggestion would be to have more space in front of the bird (the direction he is looking out) and crop more from the back, in my humble opinion. Lovely photo, and good luck in the contest. ~Alveria

This is such a pretty photo of this cute Hummingbird perched on a lovely pink flower. Excellent clarity, lighting, and color. It is when I see the hummingbird sitting on a Zinnia flower I start to appreciate how small these birds are. What I think looks really great in this shot is how the pink colors of the bloom are reflected in the feathers of the bird. I also think both the bird and the flower are standing out from the nicely softened background in the most excellent way.
Your focus is also spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details both in the bird and the flower, and I think especially the little shiny eye is standing out well. It is also lovely the way the light is falling on the bird.
When it comes to the composition, I think the photos has a bit too much negative space on the right side, and I believe the composition would be even better balanced with a cropping on this side. Still this is an excellent shot, and with a very good DOF.

A very lovely image and super capture as they only sit down at the place wher they live -I never saw one with a pink belie and the fact he is sitting n a pink flower just enhances the entire picture
