This would be a great shot whether it was presented like this, in BW or colors. The reason is of course the very love perspective and the just excellent leading lines bringing the viewer into the composition. You must practically have been on your belly when this was taken.
Even more amazing is it that the photo is nice and sharp all the way through. It is clear and well defined details to be seen in the rails, and the exposure is just perfect. It is very good distinctions between dark and light areas, and I like the way the shadows are playing over the ground.
The photo is also nicely framed, and it is a very good flow and balance in the composition. I think this is a truly well taken shot with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so much for this very kind review. I have a view screen on my Cannon that swings out and can be rotated in many different directions so I can place the camera low but still see the screen for composition purposes. I use the landscape mode and focus on the farthest point in the frame and hope for the best. :)
