Well you did a great job with this photo as far as I concerned. He looks nice a peaceful enjoying his nap. Well balanced photo and colourful. I like the green tree in the front of the fence. Kind of looks like a jungle. The fence makes him kind of camouflaged.

Poor King of the jungle forced to sit inside the cage instead of roaming free. You have captured the kindof bored lion well. You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

I love the mood this picture conveys. That looks like my ideal lazy Sunday, except for the cage. You used a really good camera; I can see all the little details, even light glinting off the leaves. Nice job shooting in a difficult spot.

THANK YOU... for sharing this authentic, natural, photo of the incredible lion, in a seemingly deep sleep. The colors and surroundings, especially the meandering leaves, also lead me to believe he is in a place of some comfort, as much as can be.

Thank you for your kind review and comments - very much appreciated. I am so glad you liked it. I imagine it is not to every one's taste with all the apparent obstructions but I would like to think that having searched through the shrubs, fences etc the reward was well worth the search. Mike

Awww I love this photo, in spite of the fences. He looks so peacefully relaxed and content. Lovely lighting and good work on getting his face in focus with all the wires :)))

Many thanks Nancy for your kind review and comments - much appreciated. I nearly didn't take this image in view of all the shrubs, fences etc in the way but I could not resist the pose and the expression on his face. Not to every one's taste I imagine but the challenge of trying to see what is behind all the obstructions is well rewarded once you can focus on the subject. It is one of my favourite photographs and I am so glad you liked it. Mike.
