That's a really cool picture,Lori! The lighting of the scene and the overall coloration look especially pleasing!
Just think : soon the woods will echo with pointless gunfire and the old car hulks in the Ravine will collect MORE bullet holes! AH WELL! : D

the buck says.."im glad she only has a camera loaded!" u caught an awesome poise of this buck. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the buck is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

So much to like about this, the lovely vibrant fall colors, the positioning of the buck in the frame, and the overall feel of wild and natural. great drama in the curve of the road leading the eye along the scene.

your pictures remind me of something out of fairy stories I read my children. As I was refugee, displaced person, parentless, I had not had this childhood favour granted me, so I read constantly to my children, getting my fill of fairy stories that way. I note you have medium mixed media and wonder what this would have been like in its original state. Friends, when I was living in Arkansas, took me to a variety of places at times and it was so beautiful, I can barely describe how wonderful the USA is- hence mixed media makes me wonder-this is exactly as the views were which I saw- and loved!

What a glorious photo! How did you ever find yourself in such a picturesque spot? The fact that the buck stood still is amazing. The forest is worthy of a scene in Disney's "Bambi." Even the lighting is perfect! Some calendar publisher should be banging on your door to pay you for this photo.
