Thank you for use of this lovely art--it makes the perfect accompaniment to my piece NOT IN MY CLASS! about a capricious lady, fickle Queen of Hearts. Cheers. LIZ

what i find interesting is the bullet hole in the ace of clubs..so what wild west saloon did u get this deck from? wink..lol; the clarity is great. the setup is great. the angle of the shot of the ace and queen is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. creative and great job overall.

Thank you, I appreciate your review very much.
The cards are not from a saloon, but a curiosity nevertheless. The were found in the same street near a casino. The come from two different decks. Hence the size and shape of them. That is not a bullet hole in the as. Its a punch hole, usually made to mark the cards as coming from a used and discarded deck. I was told they are punching the cards to literally avoid the fifth as in the sleeve.

There was a song about the queen of hearts. Actually a couple of them. I like what you are showing. Good story. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing.

Thank you kindly for your review. What were the songs about the queen of hearts and who was the author/singer?
reply by Paul G. on 12-Oct-2015
Juice Newton did "Queen on Hearts". There is a a line in The Eagles " Desparado" that says , " don't try the queen of diamonds boy she'll beat you if she's able. The queen of hearts is always your best bet". Those two things came to mind when I saw your artwork.

Thank you very much for the Info.
Is the queen of diamonds the same as the queen of hearts? I thought that is the other red queen in the deck.
reply by Paul G. on 12-Oct-2015
Different cards. Heart, diamonds are the red.. clubs and spades are the black.

An odd image in that the queen and Ace are different shape and clearly from different decks of cards. Nice colors and very good detail. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your kind review. It is indeed odd, but the cards were found on the same street near the back entrances of a casino but not near each other. They both come clearly from discarded decks. Hence the punch hole in the as.
