Beautiful shading, contrast, and lighting! Such tranquility and pleasant emotions visible in this piece. Only suggestion is that the shading around the baby's right side of the face seems strange as if there are three stripes.
Otherwise, amazing technique with the pencil and love the detail in the fabric. Lovely work of art!

Lady Linda, this is Beautifulous in every way.
I tire of this world, where so many want to take the CHRIST out of Christmas. You created more than a work of art here... There is a message.. The Reason for the Season.
I am always impressed with your work that looks so photo like due to the details you create with your pencil.
I like the low key style of lighting those hands Kissed by God Created.
I love your artwork, but I love your heart more.
You are a Woman of Faith who has a heart for God and you shine His Light where ever you go.
Well done... Well done.

I think a lot of people have almost forgotten what Christmas is all about, and using this beautiful drawing as a Christmas Card is not only a good idea but also a reminder. I for once would love to get a card like this for Christmas.

A baby sleeping is one of the most beautiful things in life to look at. They are so innocent and peaceful. Truly touching. What I think is especially lovely with this drawing is how the light is falling on Baby Jesus' face and the fine textures you have rendered in draping around the little body.

Needless to say that your attention to details is impressive, and also the way you bring light into your art. It is such great contrasts and distinctions between light and dark in this work, and this is giving the image a strong visual impact.

The drawing is also well framed and it is a very good flow and balance in the composition. Indeed a lovely and well crafted drawing, and a beautiful card. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so much for this glorious review. I wanted my drawing to cause people to reflect on the Savior and the miracle of His birth. If I have accomplished this, than I am most blessed. Merry Christmas, and God bless.

I put together a jigsaw puzzle a while ago, with Jesus in the scene. As I began putting the 500 pieces together, I realized the beauty of spending time with Jesus himself. He taught me all kinds of things during that journey. I thought if His perfection, His living among us, His perpetual presence in our earthly lives. His many ways to remind us of His Adoring Love. He taught me patience, how to pray in work and play, during difficulties, and lack of endurance; success and love of others. I admire your labor of love. He's Beautiful!

Dear Pastor, thank you for the wonderful review, and the six stars. I am so pleased that you appreciate my depiction of our Savior. Is there any greater miracle, than God becoming flesh? And the fact that He paid the price to bring us unto Himself. Wow. We need know nothing more than this. Merry Christmas, Clyde, and God richly bless you.
