Wow, fantastic shot of this Mallard. I just so love the colors that you have captured in his pose. I find your duck fascinating with that emerald head, rich blues and warm browns. He seems quite content to play in the rain. Focus solid, exposure... he is exposed, eh? LOL Thanks for sharing this great post.

very nice . the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the duck is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A beautiful stop action picture of the Mallard Drake flapping his wings as if about to take off from the lake in the rain the drops movement captured by your long exposure. The light making his iridescent green head glow & the stripes on his wings. The pale lake water in the background helping him to stand out in three dimensions. Beautiful composition framing & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

This is funny. I thought the water was from his splash down. I didn't think about rain. I love the way you have captured him in the water. His colors are beautiful. I don't know my ducks, but I would call him a pretty duck. Thank you for sharing and have a very happy new year.
