Nice capture Mary. You have nice stop action capturing him as he walks by. You can also.ost feel the heat from the bright sun. You did well on exposure/ white balance but I feel focus is a bit soft on the head. Focal point needs to be the eye.
Would need to know what focus point you use on camera. Center meter is best.

Thanks Beny, did crop but decided this was best showing the surrounds. They fed them ice blocks a little while later to help them with the heat. :) Mary

A very nice shot with excellent composition. I like all the room he has to move in and the similarity of the setting to his natural environment. Great colors and very nice details.

Thanks so much, guess if we don't have ugly we can't recognize beauty as a contrast. Really appreciate your positive feedback. :) Mary

Great looking shot of the spotted Hyena!. Fine example of wild life photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the animal in its natural habitat very well.
Well done!

Nice interesting & educational notes!
How about their peculiar laughter?!?
An interesting initial impact. Harmonious setting.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Great, you include verdant patches as they make this monotone surroundings livelier!
An artistic rendition. Monochromatic colors. Excellent details & features. Impressive fur spots & textures. Thanks for sharing...
