Not quite sure what that is that he has got in his beak but I don't think it helps this image. The focus on his eye is fantastic and the cropping is very good.

A great picture of this little bright red Parrot an Australian King Parrot? a grape in it's beak while it gives you the eye. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting wit superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

This is a very nice capture of the birds head. The eye, beak, grape pop right out at you. Nice detail in the plumage and eye...I like the fall off of the rest of the bird and background. The crop is nice and tight as well...Thanks for the sub...Steve H.

Mary, it is critical to get the eye sharp and then nothing else matters.

In the large upload it is soft...but here on the thumbnail it is sharp.

I like this photograph showing a plump grape and the fact that there are others in this family of birds in the background is a bonus to your photo...it flushes it out and creates a better story.
