Fascinating photo with an unusual species
Sort of stunned look on her face, looking kind of fearful and vulnerable, but curious and gentle also.
Really wonderful capture. So frustrating when an image doesn't come out so sharp on FAR.
I might eliminate the difference in the bg on the left side of the monkeys head by cloning or painting it to match the rest of the bg. Making it easier to see the contrasts. Paula

Very nice image. I like the fact that you softened the image as opposed to keeping it sharp. I gives the feeling that you want to reach out and cuddle this beautiful animal. The colors are so complimentary with the soft black and bright white. Good use of d/f. Very well done.

Isn't it frustrating when you upload one photo and something completely different shows up on FAR? I usually spend another hour trying to adjust an image to FAR's lack of color and contrasts, so stupid! You apparently have a problem with clarity. Have you tried to resize the photo?
Anyways, I'll just keep looking at the smaller version, this one looks sharp. Love the composition and how you have framed the cute little buddy. Love that glow in the monkey's eyes, it makes him look cheeky, as if he was up to something. I think the whites might be a tiny bit too strong tho... Lovely point of view! She is cute... Very wonderful capture. Love zoo photo's. Wish I lived closer to one. One of the problems of FAR, is the upload sometimes. LOL. Focus is wonderful. Love the eye contact. The detail of her fur. The two hardest colors for me to capture black and white, and you exposed them great. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks Kelly, I agree exposure can be difficult especially when you get the two together like this - was happy with this one though have photographed these guys before and not managed to get the eyes right. I am lucky to have two zoo's one walking distance and the other about an hours drive so I have zoo membership - $99/year and I can go as many times as I like :) Mary
